  • Where do I get a visa, if I am not in the UK?
You must apply to the British embassy in your country with a Certificate of Enrolment from your school and with evidence that you can support yourself, either by: -
  • Getting a British national who is a permanent resident of London to sponsor you.
  • Arranging accommodation including food for your stay
  • Showing that you have enough money to support yourself with a bank statement and valid credit card

  • Is it possible to extend my Student Visa?
Depends on your nationality to get visa but generally in many cases students prefer to get more knowledge and at the end of the course they enrol themselves in to further course. For more information refer to the UK official web site www.ukvisas.gov.uk or speak to the college staff.

  • If you received a tourist Visa on arrival what happens?
Certain countries including Switzerland, Norway, Poland, Hungary, Japan, South Korea, Canada, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Brazil, Mexico, Panama and Argentina can receive up to a six-month tourist visa on arrival. You may study but you may not work.
This can be changed to a student visa by applying to the Home Office. Get the correct application printed off the Internet and send in your application before you visa expires. This may take some time and it is possible it could be denied. A new visa should be applied for in the country of the person applying - you may have to go back home to begin a new visa application .

  • I would like to extend my studies; can I extend my visa?
Yes you can. We will help you prepare your application to the Home Office and advise you regarding the documents you will need to send with your application form.

  • Am I allowed to work on student visa?
Yes, with student visa you are allowed to work 20 hours a week. During the holidays students are allowed to work full time (40 hours a week).

  • Why is LTC cheaper than other Colleges?
At LTC we believe that you should get real quality at affordable prices. We do not compromise on quality but believe that this should be done at reasonable prices.

  • Are there any other charges not included in the tuition fees?
In addition to the tuition fees you will need to budget for you accommodation. If you book that through us, you will need to pay that with your fees. There is a registration fee of £25

  • Can I take holidays from my studies?
Yes you can take a holidays from your studies but we advise you to plan your holidays so it doesn't affect your study and if you want to go on a long holiday please make sure that you inform the respective staff well in advance. Though it is in your favour to not take long holidays except under serious circumstances.

  • Do I have to take holidays?
No. You can finish your course without any breaks. However, the College shuts for usual English public holidays. For example on New Year's Day.

  • What type of accommodation can LTC College arrange for me?
The LTC College London has close links with specialist home stay agencies in London and we can book a place in a host family for you. Email or fax us with your needs well before your arrival to enable us to make the most suitable arrangements for you. The LTC College team can give you advice on many different types of accommodation: host families, hostels, hotels and shared flats. For rates on accommodation please refer to our accommodation link on our website.

  • Which books will I need to buy?
Our teachers prepare the lessons from various books, articles in educational journals, newspapers, the Internet and other sources to hand out this material in the class. You will not need to buy any book unless you really want to. You may find a dictionary to be useful. Some examination students prefer to buy books to practice for their Examinations. The college can recommend the right books for your level and the examination. We can supply these books at low prices.

  • Will I be able to borrow books from the College?
Yes - The College is constantly adding books and other more materials to its library. We also have large selections of weekly magazines, newspapers and articles of special interest. You will also be able to borrow specialist books from the college for a short period of time.

  • What social activities does LTC organise?
LTC arranges visits to pubs, quiz nights, picnics in the park, staff/student parties, trips to events and London attractions. Every week one of the english teachers plans the social programme for the week. They carefully search through all the newspapers, magazines and London Life websites to find activities, which are interesting, convenient and affordable. As an LTC student you are encouraged to participate in our activities.

  • Can I change my class timings?
Yes you can change your class timings depending on availability after putting in a request with the LTC management and getting an approval for the same.

  • Do I get a certificate at the end of the course?
LTC gives you a certificate on successful completion of course along with the certification from the reputed organisations that LTC has affiliations with.

  • Do you provide Individual Tuitions?
Yes, We can arrange one-to-one tuition, mornings, afternoons or evenings and over the weekends. Most of the tutorials are held at the School but we can also arrange for tuitions at your home or place of work.
